The role of cognitive apprenticeship in learning has been demonstrated for various skills such as mathematics, reading and writing (Brown et al., 1989), genetics (Charney et al., 2007), chemistry education (Stwart & Lagowski, 2003), learning clinical skills (Wooley & Jarvis, 2007) and web-based problem solving (Kuo, Hwang, Chen, & Chen, 2012).
